Sisi Dash

Updated: Aug 15, 2020

Born in Philadelphia, SiSi Dash was raised in one of the city’s first suburbs.

She began her career at age 7, taking voice lessons and singing in the church choir.  In her youth, she spent a few summers attending camp at the Walnut Street Theatre (America’s oldest theatre) where she learned stage movement and improvisation.  During high school, she participated in Drama and chorus.  SiSi attended Widener University where she held leadership roles on the chorus and Gospel Choir.  During her time at Widener, she volunteered at a local radio station in Chester, PA where she hosted a weekly show.  After graduating from Widener with a degree in Business and a minor in Marketing, she held positions with the Philadelphia Eagles as a Marketing/Inside Sales Intern and now in Inside sales at a local company.

SiSi completed her debut recordings of “Good Day” and We’re Incredible” with Grammy nominated singers/songwriters/producers Helen Bruner and Terry Jones.  She has also worked with Grammy nominated songwriter/producer Donald Robinson and recorded “I’ll Be Right There”.  On his next collaboration, Mr. Robinson tailored the song, “Can You Please Tell Me” to SiSi’s voice.

She debuted in her first local stage play: Rick Watson’s “Secrets, Lies, & Betrayal” in 2019 and held her own with veterans.  SiSi collaborated with local producer “Gibbs” and her momager, Sandy Dash to create 8 of the songs on her second release in the form of a 9 song CD entitled “Free”.  It has something for everyone as it includes songs of varying styles (from a sultry duet to an island flavor).

Faith, Family and friends are SiSi’s priority.  God is in her heart and R&B in her soul.  She thanks God for his gifts and favor.  She also thanks her mother, Sandy Dash for her undying support and management;  voice teacher DeVonne Gardner for her training and encouragement;  and, her fairy godmother, Sarah Dash (founding member of the legendary group “Labelle”) for her introduction to many industry professionals.
